For our March program Ikenobo Professor Cheryl Linck will present a workshop highlighting spring branches.
In the Ikenobo school, Kimono (woody materials) are commonly used in arrangements. In fact, there are certain one material styles which incorporate only one variety of branch material.

DESCRIPTION
Join us, as the Scarab Club presents Stems & Vessels, a collaborative exhibition combining ceramic vessels and ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement in an exhibition activation.
Curated by ceramicist Terri Marra alongside ikebana specialists from the Ikebana International Detroit and Ann Arbor Chapters, the exhibition features Jiyuka—a contemporary, freeform approach to ikebana.
